Hello!
My name is Shawntay. I am a Burley High School graduate of 2011. I am currently attending the College of Southern Idaho, majoring in Web Development. My interest in Web Development started my freshman year of high school. In high school I took the website design classes that were offered and participated in Business Professionals of America competing in website design team. As a team we placed first every year at the regional level, and second and third at the state level qualifying us to attend and compete at the national level. Although never attending or competing at the national level knowing we as a team were good enough to qualify made me think I was actually good at this sort of thing. Looking into different professions, I knew that if I decided to pursue any other profession than website design or web development I wouldn’t be happy. In the future I hope to own my own web business, creating and developing the web is something I have a deep passion for and I want to share it with the world.I view website designing as a way of expressing my creativity in a way that is different than most others. I love being creative and fun!
I am the youngest of two children, I have one older sister. I was adopted in 2005 by my grandparents. I was raised by them and my uncles. I love football and cars because when you’re around nothing but men it tends to rub off on you. If I had the choice to go the spa for a day or go four wheeling, you bet I would pick four wheeling! Even though I love getting my nails and hair done, I’m still the little boy my uncles wished I was. I go to church every Sunday but during football season you can always catch me checking the updates on the BEARS game. :))
My heart goes out to children with cancer. I am a regular volunteer at the relay for life. Cancer has a special place in my heart and when i see small children suffering from it, my heart breaks. That is the great thing about getting to experience the relay for life, the huge amount of people who have overcome such a horrible experience gives me a different outlook on my life.
I love getting to know people! I am nice, unless you get on my bad side. And I am always willing to help if I can be useful. Don’t be shy I promise I won’t bite.
