I have several years experience working with customers from customer assistance, sales perspectives, and phone technical support roles. I have also had schooling that pertains to human interaction. - Operating system knowledge:
I have a basic understanding of computer operating systems and have used multiple Microsoft and Linux operating system distributions. - Networking:
I have set up a basic Linux based file, and ftp server alongside a Linux firewall. I have also set up client connections to an existing server from both Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
Education
- I am currently perusing an associate’s degree in Network technology at The College of Southern Idaho. I am in the second semester of my first year in the network technology program. However I am in my second year of college and have studies that pertain to human interaction, Communication in public speaking, interpersonal communication, psychology, and sociology.
Work Experience
- I have worked in several stores selling food to sporting goods. Through this type of work I have learned customer service needs and how to interact with both co-workers and customers.
- I have also worked on drilling and service rigs. Through this work I learned a lot about safety and had experience supervising two fellow employees.
- I have experience working with customers in a call center environment under high stress situations over the phone where empathy and being able to direct a customer to stay on task to get the need information without inflaming the situation.
