There are many things that I have learned that I didn’t know about the Internet and the World Wide Web. As I have gone through the tutorial and followed along with the book, I have come to an understanding that there is so much at our fingertips. The information that is there can either be true or it can be written to deceive those who are reading it.
I am truly enjoying the time that I have to learn about web design. Web design is fascinating and there is a lot a person can do with it. As you design something for the web, it takes time and quite a bit of thought. With all the different tags and elements to remember, one has to have a very good understanding why the pages have to be designed a certain way. The Web is used a lot in today’s society. People are starting to rely on it to do their shopping, chatting, and receiving their education in some ways. I feel as though it will continue to climb, as to a specific place or point that it’s headed, I don’t know.
I’m sure there are many different Jobs or occupations for wed developers. It all depends in what manner you want to work. With the knowledge that I’m receiving I would love to be able to start up my own salon and put together my own website. That would use the skills that I’m developing and put them to good use!
It has been interesting learning how to link pages, create image maps, and creating links to the same page. I never know how a person went about doing it and once again I have learned that I like to make things harder than they really should be!
There has been quite a bit of information on HTML and XHTML. It’s interesting to read about the developing of HTML to XHTML and how they weren’t sure how it would play out! If people would use it! But since they released it or I guess I should say recognized it (HTML5) everything is working out for them! What interested me is how much time and work is put into these programs. They said that the XHTML family is going to be the next step in the evolution of the internet!
