Job Goals
To obtain a job working in Website design. Working with other like minded individuals who take pride in their work and like to show off. I want to work where the weather is warm and the tequilla flows freely from Friday night till Sunday afternoon and no one cares if you wear clothes. Not nakedness, just a bathing suit.
Work Experience
- Hartman Appraisal & Investments, LLC
- From 12/1997 till present
- Worked as a Real Estate Appraiser, office manager and all around slave for 13 years. Appraisal work included home inspection, data gathering, report inputting and guessing how much the home is worth. Office manager duties included everything: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, appointment setting, tax preparation, wiping the tears from my eyes and the sweat from my brow. Slave duties included cleaning, organizing, errand running and making meals. The reason I'm leaving is the sexual harrasment isn't getting the results it used to.
- Chili's Restaurant
- From 6/1996 till 12/1997
- Worked as a waitress or server. My duties included greeting hungry people, getting them something to drink, asking them what they would like to eat and wait while they took their time re-looking at the menu. I would then input the data into the computer and wait while the cooks made the food. I would repeat this as often as necessary until there were no hungry people who hadn't ordered in my section of the restaurant. When their food was cooked I would gather it up and deliver it to their fammished little faces where they would commence to gobble it up or complain about it not being right. I would again get beverages for the thirsty patrons and walk away. Once they had eaten quite a bit I would wonder by to check on the quality of their meals. Once they had finished every last crumb I would take the dishes and utensils away so they couldn't hurt anyone with them and ask if they could fit more food in their overstuffed bellies. Occassionally I would get the extra hungry patron who did indeed want desert. After that I would bring them a small piece of paper that represented the monetary equivelancy of their intake. They would usually pay with small pieces of green paper or a small piece of plastic. I would return with change or a receipt for them to sign. Once they left I would gather the remaining dishes and bring them to the dishwasher and wait for another seating of hungry patrons.
- Hartman Family
- From the day I got married until the day I die
- The job started out with basic duties which included:
- accounts payable
- accounts receivable
- cleaning
- cooking
- laundry
- typing papers for co-workers college
After the addition of 2 other members duties increased to diaper changing, breast feeding, grocery shopping and other menial tasks with no icrease in pay. After moving locations my duties increased again with the addition of school lunches, art mom, field trips and the almost daily sporting event participation. Reading to and with the other employees became a regular duty as well as checking homework for errors and completeness. Corporate travel arrangements were added to my duties. Of course the fringe benefits of traveling with the company were welcomed. After years of these duties the load started to become less. This well oiled machine I helped create was moving along. Then duties changed, applying for college, ACT test, Senior all night parties and graduations. Duties have deminished back to:
- accounts payable
- accounts receivable
- cleaning
- cooking
- laundry
But now the typing of papers takes place on a computer and they are for me now.
