In this tutorial, I basically learned all of the basic codes that deal with HTML. I learned about the different kinds of headings, comments, special characters, and lists. My favorite part of the lesson was learing how to apply images in HTML. My current perception of web design is that is definately a complex subject. There are several different codes that apply to many different things. I can only imagine more and more codes for different things being created. There are already so many! It is definately fun and interesting getting to learn what each are. Learning these skills can get you pretty good jobs. You could work for companies like Google or Yahoo. You may even be able to make a website for your very own business knowing these skills. I know I will be using these skills. I am going into Graphic Design and this information is very crucial to learn and get very familiar with. One day I plan on owning my own business and I will want a website for it. I am satisfied with this course so far and am urgent to learn even more.

Css allows us to change to overall style look of the page and not have to use the original HTML document to do so. This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics, enable multiple pages to share formatting, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content. Prior to CSS, nearly all of the presentation attributes of HTML documents were contained within the HTML markup. All font colors, background styles, element alignments, borders and sizes had to be explicitly described, often repeatedly, within the HTML. Now we can use on page on one area and it applies to the whole page.
CSS is growing in new directions, and the technology's original creator believes its next direction for improvement will be dealing with more complicated Web page layout chores. Now ,there's work under way to address that with CSS modules called grid layout and template layout. From what it sounds like, CSS will basically be like using Adobe Dreamweaver.
At first HTML was like a second language to, and it still is, but I am slowly catching on to it by all of the practice.I am very satisfied with CSS. It is actually pretty easy to use. There are still some things that I don't get about classes and pseudo elements, but hopefully it will come to me with more practive.
My designs are very important to me. I am what you would call a perfectionist. After reading the acticle, there is so much I learned. There were some things that I never take the time to think about. Sadly, I didnt think that communication was more important than the actual project with clients. I figured it would all be about the project alone. Feedback from your clients is also very important. You are using your design skills to fit them. That is why I get that the communication part is so important.
I am more of a get right to it kind of guy, rather than brainstormer. The idea just comes to me. I think I might be able to come up with even better ideas if I jot down ideas first or sketch out ideas. Typography with Laura goes over a lot of what this article has to say, but the article was very informational. I printed a copy of it out for my personal use.
I found the article very informational. In tutorials 6 and 7 we learned ways to add a design look to our pages. Wireframs will add even more to the transformation of the web page. Color and organization make a web page look good. If everything is just thrown around, it won't draw anyone in. If I were on Facebook and it's contents were everywhere I would have never created a profile.
I though it was very interesting seeing all things you can do to make your web page look like an actual professional web page. There are so many things to do though. I almost wanted to give up reading it. It was information overload. It made my brain hurt. It was very good information however. I wrote down a few things that I would like to do to my own web site. Overall, I give it an out of ten for personal reading, but for informational I give it a ten.
