My name is Mike Shirley. This is my second semester at CSI in which I am currently enrolled in the computer support technician program. I am turning 29 very soon and it scares me that I am only one year away from 30. I have never imagined myself as being someone classified as "in his 30's". I have lived here in Twin Falls for the past 4 years and I do enjoy this area quite a bit. I am originally from Sugar City, Idaho which is a small town near the Idaho Falls/Rexburg area. I have been married for almost six years now and I currently have one two year old daughter.
I do love sports alot, however my days of playing sports have been far and few between. I am now the typical sports viewer who likes to imagine myself back in my days when I was younger, skinnier, and much more athletic. I enjoy watching and playing basketball and golf, and I am also an avid college football fan. I have been a lifelong fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team as I was born in Nebraska and lived there until I was 10 years old. However, the past decade has been a dismal and dissapointing decade as a Cornhusker fan and like most others we find ourselves dreaming about the glory days in the 1990's when Nebraska won several National Championships. I also am a big Utah Jazz fan as well. It's funny how the two sports teams I have mentioned are one of the worst teams to be a fan of as far as getting your hopes built up each year just to suffer a major letdown by the end of the season. But such is life.
That is a little about myself. I am finding this HTML class very interesting as I previously had no idea how much work goes into even the most simple things that we take for granted everyday as we are browsing the web. It definitely is a different world behind what we see when we see the official webpage. It's like a movie scene in the matrix now when I go to webpage and view their page source. The only problem is I am no Neo. However, I have enjoyed this class so far and found it very interesting. To the left there are two pictures of which one of them is a picture of me. You just have to guess which one.
