I was a DJ for nine years—six days a week, 5 hours a day—live "on air". Radio was different in those days: we were spinning vinyls; we were "on the air" live; there was only a handful of women DJ's; plus, the best of all, we could say what we wanted and play what we wanted. I had a library that would blow your mind—or at least it does mine! All the classics from the 60's, 70's, and 80's were at my fingertips, to pick, choose, and play. It was "Heaven", the perfect job for me.
Flash forward to present day. I am taking this class in order to learn how to translate my computer graphic design skills onto a web page. I want to continue with my education in web development so I may one day become a Web page devisgner.
I am deeply interested in politics here in the United States and internationally. I have a degree in political science. I plan on remaining politically conscious and active through out my life. I believe that communication is the key to the process of attaining world peace; therefore, even while the World appears to be falling apart, I embrace the Web with high hopes for the future.
