Projects Page

Evo V is alive!

This is the project page! From tilework and tattoos to auto-body work and random customizing, I try to dabble in anything I can get my hands on! My main project is a TON of body work to my car. It has been a work in progress for too long. Just recently, I have had motivation, but have been too busy to give the attention it deserves! I had mainly been using fiberglass for rigidity, but have switched to the fine tuning and quick progress of bondo! The driver's side is nearly finished! Evo V

As you can see, it isn't much to look at, but once the major body work is done, I can wet-sand the whole thing so it looks perfect. After that the real fun of designing the paint! The beast will ultimately stay red, but the art I have in mind for it is really going to top it off!

It is sad to know I won't drive this machine as hard as I used to after it's "finished." Rallying a car like this is not practical, I have smashed the front bumper off, riped a fender in half, I have lost side skirts, and even had the hood fly up and smash the windshield and roof scoop! I have decided that I don't like body work enough to do it constantly! I would like to have this done soon, it has notoriously stayed in it's present grey and red garb for years. If you have any tips or suggestions drop 'em by the contact page.

Canon XL1

To sell, or not to sell...

Canon XL1It is hard to get rid of the camera I have always wanted, but an upgrade is well worth the heartbreak! The Canon XL1 has always caught my eye as an awesome-looking camera with the function to back up its good looks. I never thought that I would own such a stylistic camera, but after the agony of waiting in real-time for video to rip to disk and the lack of HD, I must depart with it. Mainly, I'm broke so money has to come from something.

Our Nikon D40 is well out-dated as well, but that has sentimental value. So we will upgrade to another Nikon with HD video and live view. Mainly to reuse the lenses we currently have. The Old Nikon has served us well through our travels and trials. I'm surprised we haven't had more trouble with it for what we have put it through. Overall I feel safe buying from Nikon again.
