Owlgorithms

Date: 11/3/2011

Owlgorithms.com is finally open! If you don't know by now, this is the online portfolio (and I hate to say, blog) of Erik Winther. If you want to know a little more than what I'm rambling about at the time, visit the contact page.

I am available for comission works as of December 12, 2011. But for now, I am pretty busy. Check back often and use the contact page for anything, even if you just want to throw a message my way that serves no purpose! I might just have something to add to your thoughts. No viruses, please!

Anyway, Take a peak at the portfolio using the button located at the top of the page here. You'll find a range of different works I have done. I usually have some other weird projects going on. One of which being a Mitsubishi Evo V restoration project that has long been overdue and is coming to a swift end this winter! So check out the projects tab too!

Selling the Beloved Canon XL1

Date: 10/15/2011

It is hard to get rid of the camera I have always wanted, but an upgrade is well worth the heartbreak! The Canon XL1 has always caught my eye as an awesome-looking camera with the function to back up its good looks. I never thought that I would own such a stylistic camera, but after the agony of waiting in real-time for video to rip to disk and the lack of HD, I must depart with it. Mainly, I'm broke so money has to come from something.

Our Nikon D40 is well out-dated as well, but that has sentimental value. So we will upgrade to another Nikon with HD video and live view. Mainly to reuse the lenses we currently have. The Old Nikon has served us well through our travels and trials. I'm surprised we haven't had more trouble with it for what we have put it through. Overall I feel safe buying from Nikon again.
